Travel Diary: Benny’s Restaurant in Belize [Travel]
While staying at Coco Plum Caye we were able to book two tours: cave tubing and the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. The amazing guides from Coco Plum took us to eat at Benny’s Restaurant in Belize.
We ate lunch at Benny’s before our little hike to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. Caleb and I love to travel and experience new cultures – that includes stopping at local restaurants. Benny’s had some traditional Belizean dishes that were absolutely delicious! The staff was so welcoming and genuinely happy to see us and ask about our visit in their beautiful country.
Take a look at some of our photos from our trip to Benny’s Restaurant in Belize! Such a spunky colorful little spot!
Cow foot soup? Eek! I wasn’t brave enough to try it. Has anyone else had it? I am notoriously picky (don’t tell my husband I admitted that..). We were on our way to a hike after lunch at Benny’s so I knew I had to actually eat something and spontaneously order cow foot was not going to do me any good. Maybe one day I will try it!
This painting was hung casually from the ceiling of the restaurant. Very interesting – quite terrifying.. :P
I loved the colorful floors. Everything in Belize is so bright and cheerful!
You betta Belize it! ;)
