Fall Fashion + Froberg’s Farm Corn Maze Adventure!
I have to admit I hadn’t been to Froberg’s Farm until last week! Froberg’s Farm is a such a cute little treasure outside of Houston where you can go and pick your own strawberries around January to May. I see friends and family every year go there and have so much fun so I decided to venture out there myself for their fall festivities.
Forberg’s not only offers our homegrown fruits and veggies, but they also have a country store open year round (excluding major holidays) where they sell homemade big pies, fried pies, pickles, jellies, preserves, pralines, pecan brittle, peanut brittle, kettle and caramel corn.
During the fall Froberg’s Farm has a fun corn maze, pumpkin patch and fall festival activities! I have never been in a corn maze before so figured it would be fun to give it a try. I am quite infamous for being directionally challenged so was not anticipating a win. We grabbed a map on our way out just in case we couldn’t find our way out. I did not want to have to be those people calling for help from the employees!
We did so-so on the corn maze. I feel like I cheated because I just followed the obviously worn-down paths left by other people. I mean, work smarter not harder, right? :P I think the rising temperate gave us a little encouragement to get through the corn maze quickly.
Fall in Texas is pretty much a joke. I like to dress in cute fall clothes with my boots and scarves, but sometimes it is impossible here. Sometimes when I dress I try to think that if I put on a scarf it will magically be cool outside – it never works. I went for a casual maroon tunic, Toms wedges (you know they’re my absolutely fav!) and some simple accessories for our adventure. But I definitely should have just been wearing a bathing suit because I sweat my arse off from the Texas heat. 90+ in October! Please I beg of you bring us some cool weather down here!!
