Oversized Cardigan + Statement Necklace

I am a HUGE fan of the oversized cardigan trend. It is so comfy and kind of makes me feel like an Olsen twin – effortlessly chic and questionably hipster and sometimes possibly homeless. Okay, so I don’t go that far with it, but I love to be comfortable and confident in my clothes.

You have to be careful with an oversized cardigan because sometimes it can overtake your whole outfit and swallow you whole with no regrets. I am a smaller human being (5’3″ on a good day) so I especially never want to look like a child wearing my daddy’s sweater.

To style an oversized cardigan I always make sure my shirt and pants are form fitting. I want to look like I have a shape to my body and not just be a walking sweater. I paired this oversized sweater with some fun patterns. I love to mix patterns and prints – especially in my fall wardrobe because sometimes you can get lost in the 50 shades of gray layers of shirts, scarfs, and coats.

Everything ends up being black and gray. While I love those colors (and their slimming nature) I like to stand out! I love this forever 21 shirt – it is stretchy and so comfortable! I love mixing stripes and leopard print. They just seem to go so well together!

My statement necklace is The Cora Necklace from Think Elysian Boutique (only $20!). I love the bohemian style to it – it seems to work well with everything! I love to throw it on a white tshirt with some distressed boyfriend jeans – voila! :] Jewelry is so versatile and ahhhmazing.
