Red Peacoat & Suede Wedges
Texas decided to get COLD last week. All summer long everyone moans and groans about how hot it is and that they can’t wait for winter. Well, here ya go! I don’t mind the cold, except the fact it makes my body feel like I am ancient! Aches and pains come along with this the cold-to-the-bone weather! Luckily, I have my favorite red peacoat to keep me nice a warm! :]
My grandpa bought me this red peacoat from Old Navy a couple of years ago for my birthday. He has since passed, but I always like to think of his tight hugs when I get snuggly in this coat. He took me shopping for my birthday, went straight to this coat and it was a done-deal! I absolutely love the classic look of it and the red color makes a big statement. I love to add color in to my winter clothes because things tend to get very dreary and monochromatic in fashion during the colder months.
Keep the color alive during the winter! Splash some bright colors here and there with accent pieces like a coat, jewelry, or other accessories like scarfs, hats or mittens! Right now, I am gearing up for New Years in New York – trying to pair fashionable (because it’s NEW YORK for crying out loud!) and functional (I do not want to freeze like a popsicle). More winter looks are on the way!
