Oh la la! Let’s bring a little bit of France in to our kitchens with this wine infused baked blackberry brie recipe. Brie is a super soft cheese which comes from the department of Seine-et-Marne region of France formerly known as “Brie.” This recipe is so easy! It has become a favorite summer party recipe in our household. I am always on the hunt for different ways to make simple dishes for get-togethers so I am a huge fan of brie recipes. It is such a simple cheese that you can do so many things with and I haven’t met a single soul that doesn’t like brie! Now add a little wine and blackberries and voila! Bon appétit!
I have fallen in love with Black Box wine. It is absolutely the best wine I have tasted for under $20 – and it’s in a BOX! The box makes it ideal for bringing to dinner parties and summer get togethers. The box is 1/2 the carbon footprint of glass bottles and contains 4 bottles of wine that stays fresh for six weeks after opening – but I will tell you that it won’t make it to four weeks in our house because we will drink it up! This box of wine is so easy to use with its built in dispenser. It is perfect for backyard get-togethers – you don’t have to worry about broken glass bottles or corking the bottle back up after each drink is poured. The fact that Black Box Wine has won over 50 Gold Medals for its quality means you will not only enjoy its convenience, but its taste as well! Plus Black Box Wines are available for 40% less than comparable bottled wines!
I chose a Pinot Noir red wine to infuse my blackberries for this brie recipe. Black Box Wines Pinot Noir has an “enticing aromas of strawberry, cherry, and rose petal with complementary notes of toasty oak.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Pinot Noir is the perfect match for blackberries.
This wine infused bake blackberry brie recipe is ideal for summer gatherings and dinner parties. I would suggest this recipe be enjoyed with loved ones outside on a patio under the stars and some twinkle lights. I think great summer parties start with the food and are enjoyed in a great environment. Here is some of my favorite outdoor furniture and accessories to create a lovely French-inspired outdoor setting perfect to enjoy this delicious recipe.

Wine Infused Baked Blackberry Brie
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp of sugar
3/4 cup of Black Box Pinot Noir wine
6 oz blackberries
8 oz brie
Puff Pastry or Crescent roll (Either works – puff pastry is a little lighter and crisper than the crescent roll which is more thick and gooey. We love crescent roll dough the best.)
1 egg
1 Tbsp water
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and wine in a bowl. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add blackberries to soak in wine for at least 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 375.
3. Press dough together to make one solid sheet leaving no gaps for cheese or wine to escape.
4. Scrape off the brie rind and place on top of dough.
5. Take 3 oz of blackberries (half) and lightly mush in a separate dish.
6. Put smushed blackberries on top of brie and wrap dough around to completely enclose the brie.
7. Whisk together egg wash (water & egg) and apply to the dough.
8. Bake for 9-12 minutes.
9. Enjoy with friends and family.
